Pumicestone Passage shoreline used as a planning image for island stays

Bongaree is the first township after the bridge, so a caravan park under this name was always a logistical idea: arrive, unhitch, walk to the passage, catch a bus without crossing the island. The old directory recorded that idea. This page does not confirm that a park still trades under the same sign.

Historical listing, details unverified. Sites, power, pets and dump points can change or disappear. Do not treat this URL as proof of a vacancy.

Bongaree remains the right area for visitors who want Pumicestone Passage, shops and a short hop back to the mainland. Read eat and drink for precinct thinking and getting here for the bus spine. If you need national-park camping behind the eastern dunes, that is a different booking system on the QPWS site.

If a park still operates in Bongaree under any name, use its current site. If you represent that business, you may send a factual correction via contact — not a rate card for us to publish.
